Since its beginning, the Cub Scout program has been a fun and educational experience concerned with values. Besides providing a positive place where boys can enjoy safe, wholesome activities, Cub Scouting focuses on building character, improving physical fitness, teaching practical skills, and developing a spirit of community service.

In Cub Scouting, boys and their families have fun and adventure in a program that builds character and instills values. Cub Scouting embraces the values of citizenship, compassion, cooperation, courage, faith, health and fitness, honesty, perseverance, positive attitude, resourcefulness, respect, and responsibility. These values come to boys in all parts of the Cub Scout program - all while they're having a great time with their friends and families.

Some of the best things about Cub Scouting are the activities you get to do: camping, hiking, racing model cars, going on field trips, or doing projects that help your hometown and the people who live there. Cub Scouting means "doing.

On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake, and morally straight.

On Saturday, Pack 7 Scouts enjoyed a trip to Diggerland, a construction themed park where they were able to operate actual machinery. They were also able to climb one of the world’s tallest ropes course.  A fun time was had by all who attended this fun pack outing.

Cranberry Lake Preserve

Team Tiger & Paws on the Path at Cranberry Lake Preserve - On November 15th, the Pack 7 Tiger & Wolf dens completed adventure requirements by participating in a hike with their families at Cranberry Lake Preserve. This 190-acre park is operated by the Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation.

Visitors can follow well-marked trails to see the remains of a 19th-century farmhouse and early 20th-century stone-mining operation. It was a beautiful day for a fall hike and we did our part to leave this beautiful park better than we found it.
